Can You Hunt Hogs Year-Round in Arkansas?
Most group hunts are held hostage by a season. Hogs aren’t. Feral hogs have no closed season in Arkansas, and on private land like ours you can hunt them twelve months a year — which means a June bachelor party works exactly as well as a January one. For a wedding date you don’t control, that flexibility is the whole ballgame.
Hunts are unguided and done from baited stands. We set the stands over active sign and show your group exactly where each one is, then you hunt on your own schedule — dawn, dusk, or both. In most bachelor parties, not everyone hunts — and that’s fine. Six stocked ponds are open for fishing, free with any booked package. There are miles of ATV trails across the property, swimming, cable TV at the lodging, and 2,200 acres to explore on foot.

Can We Add Bird Hunting? October Through March
If the wedding falls in the cooler months, add wing-shooting. Our upland bird season runs October through March for pheasant, quail, and chukar, and it’s the most social hunt on the property — the group walks fields together behind pointing dogs rather than sitting apart in stands. Sanctuary Ranch is at 5685 Lafferty Road, Mount Pleasant, AR 72561, about 20 minutes from Batesville. It’s an easy drive from most of the region:

Yes, and most groups are split that way. Hunters take the stands while everyone else fishes the stocked ponds, rides the ATV trails, swims, or stays back at the lodging. You book stands only for the guys who are actually hunting, so nobody pays for a hunt they are not going on.
Anywhere from a handful of guys up to 38. The Cabela Cabin sleeps 6, the Brick House sleeps 12, and the Bunk House sleeps up to 38. Larger parties can combine buildings or add primitive camping, and the whole group stays on the same 2,200-acre property either way.
Only the people who are hunting. Every hunter needs a valid Arkansas hunting license, and depending on the method and time of year additional permits may apply. Non-hunting guests can fish, ride, and stay on the property without one, though fishing follows Arkansas Game and Fish Commission licensing rules.
